Why Shopify?
I remember growing up hearing that the cost of creating a website was $500,000 or more and will take 6 months or longer. So many people said, “Man, I wish I could launch a website. It’s just so expensive!” Little did we know, years later, advances would help everyday people like you and I can create an e-commerce store, and make a shit ton of money selling our own products or someone else’s. There are so many technological advances that are making our life more productive and efficient. Shopify has allowed me and many other people sell our wares online and make “passive” income.

This is not something that you want to miss the boat on. The thing is not a lot of people realize how easy it is. On top of that, not many people ACT on the new knowledge they have gained! I want to be the first to tell you that it is possible to turn your life around, if only you get started. I will show you how. Let’s get started!
Step 1: Create Your Free Shopify Account
As I mentioned earlier, the cost of doing business has dramatically decreased. Now people can create an eCommerce store as a side hustle while working a part-time or full-time job. It does not require a huge team of engineers and departmental staff to launch a website anymore!
With Shopify, you quickly and easily launch a store in the next 24 hours! You can even get started free of charge through Shopify’s 14-day free trial. This is a win for you because it gives you an opportunity test out the platform and even make some sales too!

Step 2: Identify a Profitable Niche
After you have set up your new store, you have to decide what products you want your store to contain! Perhaps it is a product that you make and sell or even a product you find and sell thought a drop-shipper. Niche is simply a product within a larger category. For example, if you are into health and wellness, you might want to focus a niche such as Yoga. You can even go deeper and target men who like yoga. If you want to stop there, you can find products for men who enjoy yoga. This could include Yoga Mat, Tee-shirts, block, loose fitting yoga pants, incense, you name it! This is who you identify products to sell! It’s called finding a niche. The lady who founded spanks, carved a niche within women’s clothing.
Step 3: Design Your Store to Reflect the Lifestyle or Product You are Selling
Shopify has many themes from which you can choose to modify the look and feel of your website. You will want to have a logo designed for cheap if you want to move quickly. But start with setting up your navigation and look for royalty free photos like Unsplash. Women entrepreneurs can also check out a site called SheBold Stock to access photos that help you brand your site. Also, I recommend you check out apps you can install on your site to increase the likelihood of a positive experience for your customers! These can include pop-ups, announcements and reviews! Overall, make sure the site has consistent look and feel to it. If you site is about men doing yoga, then you want to only include masculine looking yoga products.
What’s Next
Build it and they will come” is one of the most outdated thoughts. So, do not think that your site will generate sales immediately without putting in some work! Will it be hard. Yes. Will you want to give up? Yes. The key likes in your marketing strategy. You have to build relationships first, promote second. Build relationships, and THEN promote. You should give more than you receive in value. As you grown you will learn marketing techniques to make your site soar! You have to have has consistency and make your product images stand out! For now, simply focus on getting your site up and running! One you start “doing” you will learn so much in the process and might even end up with a six-figure company!
